Java Developer

The project is helping extend an internet application used by the Bank’s clients.  The application is used for valuing stocks.  The clients are typically money managers like mutual funds and hedge funds.

 We are looking for someone for a six month assignment here in our Chicago office.  The work is centered around application development using Java, HTML, Ext/JS, AJAX, and SQL on a Linux and Windows environment.  Experience with Coherence is a major plus.

 

Financial experience is not required, but would be a plus

Primary focus will be on application level software development, but some assembly low level development in C++ might also be required.

QA Tester with HP testing

Location: Dallas, TX 75240

Candidates need to have 3 current years of demonstrated experience with HP testing suite of products (Quality Center, QuickTest Pro etc.)

Must-Have Skills:

 

 

• Strong logic and analytical skills. Candidates with both Business Analysis and Testing experience are preferred.

• 3 years of demonstrated experience with HP testing suite of products (Quality Center, QuickTest Pro etc.)

• In QuickTest Pro, should have solid experience using Expert View script editor and VBScript. Experience working with the shared object repository and function libraries is desired.

• A software development background is a plus.

• The Test Engineer should have a BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.

• 5-7 years of hands on software testing experience.

• Should be familiar with current software testing methodologies to include risk-based, boundary, black box and white box testing.

• Must have a solid understanding of the SDLC, configuration management, and release cycles.

• Attention to detail is critical for this role.

• Strong SQL knowledge preferred with the ability to develop complex queries.

• Demonstrates knowledge of some or all of the following: Web Logic and with RDBMS such as Oracle, Quality Center, XML Spy and Clear Quest.

 

Nice to Have Skills:

• HP/Mercury Certification.

QA Testing Analyst candidate acts as a key participant in application analysis, test strategy development, test case creation, test script development, test execution, defect tracking and reporting. A good candidate will have specific experience in all of the following,

 

 

• Analyze and Test business rules

• Analyze and test pricing and billing calculations.

• Develop and execute automated tests using QuickTest Pro and Quality Center

• Develop and execute manual tests using Quality Center

• Web service invocation and testing

• Service-oriented architecture

 

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements and technical specifications.

• Design, develop and execute testing scripts and SQL queries based on requirements, specifications, and other relevant documentation.

• Create, review, validate and maintain comprehensive regression test suite.

• Automate the regression test cases and develop regression test suite using QuickTest Pro.

• Execute regression test suite and report results and issues in a timely and accurate manner.

• Ensure that test case standards are adhered to for all test cases included in regression suite.

• Maintain awareness of new software testing tools and trends within the software testing industry.

• Report and track problems by providing reproducible test cases, and working with other product team members to close problem reports.

• Provide the test lead with accurate LOE estimates for test planning, preparation, and execution.

• Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing technology and business partners with sufficient detail to understand, replicate and resolve outstanding issues and defects.
